MCP task automation
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) connects assistants like Claude Desktop to tools they can call on your behalf. Vibe Kanban exposes MCP endpoints so you can create tasks, check status, and drive workflows from a conversational UI while heavy lifting still runs through your local agents and worktrees.
Typical flow
- Configure the Vibe Kanban MCP server per MCP integration.
- Connect your MCP client (for example Claude Desktop).
- Ask the assistant to open a task, attach context, or summarize board state.
- Agents execute in Vibe Kanban; you review in the web UI or IDE.
When MCP helps most
- Triaging bugs from chat into runnable agent tasks.
- Kicking off parallel work without context-switching to the browser.
- Sharing structured updates with non-technical stakeholders via the assistant.
